Stainless steel pipes and valves on a tank in a clean factory

This guide is for tube makers and workshops that cut stainless steel tube, and for the buyers who order their blades. Our two tube lines each list a stainless version. Here is what the catalogue shows for each, and what to tell us so we can confirm the right blade.

Start with how you cut the tube

Our catalogue splits tube blades by process. KINS' BLUE is for cutting tubes, pipes and profiles on stationary and semi-automatic machines. KINS' ORANGE is for flying cut-off on tube mills, where the line does not stop for each cut.

Both are TCT (tungsten carbide tipped) circular saw blades. So the first choice is your process. Pick the line that matches your machine, then look at its stainless version.

If you run both processes, tell us. You may need a blade from each line.

The stainless version in KINS' BLUE

The catalogue lists a blade called KINS' BLUE Stainless. Its page shows four rating rows:

  • Low/Med. Tensile: 4.
  • High Tensile: 4.
  • Stainless Steel: 9.
  • Blade Life: 9.

The other three KINS' BLUE blades have no Stainless Steel row. They are rated on tensile strength, tube type, cut surface and similar points instead. If you cut stainless tube on a stationary saw, tell us the grade and we will confirm which blade to quote.

The stainless version in KINS' ORANGE

For flying cut-off, the catalogue lists KINS' ORANGE OrbitalMaster Stainless. Its rows are Carbon Steel 4, Stainless Steel 10, Scarf 6 and Blade Life 8.

Other blades in the line, such as SpeedMaster and OrbitalMaster Pro, show a Stainless Steel score of 4 and a Carbon Steel score of 10. Read the two scores together. They show which material the catalogue rates each blade for.

If your mill makes both carbon and stainless tube, tell us the split. Do not assume that one blade fits both. We will confirm which versions you need.

How to read the stainless scores

A score is shown beside a row name, such as Stainless Steel 9 or Blade Life 9. The catalogue does not explain the scale beyond the numbers. Use them to compare blades on the same page, not to predict a result on your machine.

Here is a practical way to use them:

  • Look at the Stainless Steel row first. Compare the scores: 9 and 10 on the stainless versions, 4 on the carbon steel blades that show the row.
  • Then look at Blade Life, which both stainless versions show.
  • Send us the shortlist with your grade and machine, and we will confirm the choice.

Stainless versions are not only in the tube lines. KINS' GREEN, our HSS line, has Stainless Performance and Stainless Stabilizer versions. KINS' RED has Stainless Small and Stainless Large versions, rated for small and large diameter.

Tell us your process and we will say where to start. You can see every line on our saw blade page.

What to send us for a quote

Stainless is not one material. The catalogue's KINS' RED lines show separate rows for austenitic and non-austenitic stainless, so the grade can matter. Tell us the grade you cut and we will confirm the version.

The size and specification of a blade depend on your machine, the cutting task and the material. We do not quote a cutting speed or feed from a catalogue page. Ask the machine maker for those, and tell us what you run. Please send:

  • The process (stationary, semi-automatic or flying cut-off) and the machine make, model and blade size it takes.
  • The stainless grade, as written on your tube material sheet, and whether you also cut carbon steel on the same machine.
  • Tube shape, outside size and wall thickness. Give the range if it changes.
  • The old blade's code, or its diameter, bore, thickness and fixing holes, with photos of the blade and a sample cut.
  • What is wrong with the current blade: short life, rough cuts or burrs.
  • The quantity you need.

Request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the right stainless version for your line.
