This guide is for workshop supervisors and buyers who cut tube on a machine with a limited motor. You need to choose a blade with your motor in mind. Here is what our catalogue shows about power and what to tell us.
What the catalogue says about power
Our catalogue gives rating rows for each Kinkelder blade. One row on the KINS' BLUE line page is called Low power. It sits beside rows such as Thin tube, Multi/thick tube, Flexibility, Cut surface and High output.
The catalogue does not explain the Low power row in words. It gives no motor size and no kW value. So treat the score as a way to compare blades on the same page, and not as a promise for your machine.
Scores run up to 10 in the catalogue. If power is your limit, note which blades show that row and what they score. Then ask us what the score means for your machine.
Low power scores on KINS' BLUE
Three KINS' BLUE blades carry a Low power row:
- KINS' BLUE Stabilizer Performance: Low power 9.
- KINS' BLUE Performance: Low power 9.
- KINS' BLUE Multi Performance: Low power 7.
The fourth blade, KINS' BLUE Stainless, has no Low power row. It is rated on Low/Med. Tensile, High Tensile, Stainless Steel and Blade Life instead.
The KINS' BLUE line is described as saw blades for cutting tubes, pipes or profiles on stationary and semi-automatic machines. The size and specification of a blade depend on the machine, the cutting task and the material.
Read the other rows too
Low power is one row among several, so do not choose on it alone. The Thin tube, Multi/thick tube, High output and Cut surface rows are on the KINS' BLUE page. Our guide to semi-automatic tube machines lists all four blades.
Keep a note of the blades and rows you compared. When you send your enquiry, name them. That saves time, and it shows us what you need from the blade.
KINS' GREEN HSS
Our KINS' GREEN line is the HSS line. Its blades have different rows, such as Cutting Speed, Blade Life, Tube and Thin Tube. The GREEN line has no Low power row, so we cannot compare it with BLUE on power from the catalogue.
Tell us your machine and your tube. We will check the line pages and confirm the blades to look at.
Describe your machine
The motor is the first thing to tell us. Many machines have a data plate that shows the motor power. Send a photo of it.
We do not give a kW limit for any blade, because the catalogue does not list one. The plate figure lets us ask the right questions and check your case against the line pages. If the plate is worn or missing, give us the machine make and model.
Then add the details the catalogue says a blade depends on: the machine, the cutting task and the material. Say when the problem shows up, for example on every cut or only on the thickest tube you run. Photos of the cut tube and of the blade help us follow your description.
- The machine type, and whether it is stationary or semi-automatic.
- The motor power on the plate, with its unit.
- The blade size your machine takes: outside diameter, bore and thickness.
- The tube material and its grade.
- The tube diameter and wall thickness.
- What problem you have now: slow cuts, a rough cut, a motor that struggles or short blade life.
Tell us if you plan to change blade size. Check the blade size against your machine first, and we will confirm what to look at.
What to send us for a quote
- A photo of the machine and its data plate.
- The motor power, with its unit, as printed on the plate.
- The blade size you use now, or a photo of the old blade.
- The tube material, grade, diameter and wall thickness.
- How many tubes you cut, and how often.
- The problem you have with your current blade.
- The quantity you need.
Request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the right blade for your machine.
