Kinkelder KINS’ BLUE

This guide is for workshop supervisors and buyers who cut heavy-wall tube, or several tubes in one cut, and have to choose a Kinkelder blade. It shows what our catalogue says and what it leaves open. The catalogue gives no wall thickness and no bundle size for any blade, so you will need to tell us yours.

What the catalogue gives you

The KINS' BLUE line page rates each tube blade on a row called Thin tube and a row called Multi/thick tube. The catalogue does not define either row. It does not say what wall thickness counts as thick, or how many tubes count as multi.

So treat the scores as a way to compare blades on the same page. They do not tell you if a blade will cut your tube. Send us your tube and we will confirm.

KINS' BLUE is the Kinkelder line for tubes, pipes or profiles on stationary and semi-automatic machines. The catalogue adds that the size and specification of a blade depend on your machine, the cutting task and the material.

How the KINS' BLUE blades score on Multi/thick tube

Three KINS' BLUE blades have a Multi/thick tube row. The scores run up to 10:

  • KINS' BLUE Multi Performance: 9.
  • KINS' BLUE Performance: 7.
  • KINS' BLUE Stabilizer Performance: 4.

KINS' BLUE Stainless has no tube rows, so it is not compared here. If you cut stainless, read the rows for that blade and tell us the grade.

On this one row, Multi Performance scores highest. But a blade has other rows, and you should look at those too.

Look at the other rows before you choose

Here are the full ratings for the three blades, so you can see what each one gives up.

  • Multi Performance: Low/medium tensile 10, High tensile 7, Thin tube 4, Multi/thick tube 9, Flexibility 5, Cut surface 7, High output 9, Low power 7.
  • Performance: Low/medium tensile 8, High tensile 9, Thin tube 7, Multi/thick tube 7, Flexibility 9, Cut surface 9, High output 7, Low power 9.
  • Stabilizer Performance: Low/medium tensile 9, High tensile 8, Thin tube 4, Multi/thick tube 4, Flexibility 4, Cut surface 9, High output 9, Low power 9.

The three differ on tensile rows too. Multi Performance scores 10 on Low/medium tensile but 7 on High tensile, while Performance scores 8 and 9. So the tensile strength of your steel matters as much as the wall.

The catalogue does not explain rows such as Flexibility, Cut surface, High output or Low power. If one of them matters to you, ask us what it means for your job. For the Low power row, see our guide to saw blades for low-power tube machines.

If your piece is solid bar

Some heavy sections are solid bar and not tube. Our catalogue lists KINS' RED as the TCT solid stationary line. It describes KINS' RED blades as developed for cutting solid steel bars or other dense metal materials.

If you are not sure whether your piece counts as tube or bar, tell us the dimensions. We will say which line to look at.

Describe the cut so we can confirm

Heavy-wall tube and multi-tube cuts need a clear description. These facts help us most:

  • The outside diameter and the wall thickness of the tube.
  • Whether you cut one tube or several in the same cut, and how many.
  • How the tubes are held while they are cut, if you know.
  • The steel grade and the tensile strength, and whether it is stainless.
  • The machine make and model, and the blade size and bore it takes.

Write every number with its unit. A drawing or a photo of a cut end is useful too.

What to send us for a quote

  • The tube or bar: shape, outside diameter and wall thickness.
  • How many pieces you cut at once.
  • The material name, the steel grade and the tensile strength. Say if it is stainless.
  • The machine make and model, and whether it is stationary or semi-automatic.
  • The blade size, bore and fixing holes, or the old blade code.
  • What goes wrong with your current blade, if anything, with photos.
  • The quantity you need.

Browse the saw blade range, then request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp. We will confirm the right blade for your cut.
