This guide is for workshop managers, maintenance teams and buyers who need rubber sheet for mats, pads or lining. It explains how our catalogue describes NR / SBR sheet and where it sits among our other rubber sheets. It ends with what to send us, so we can confirm the right sheet.
What our catalogue says about NR / SBR
Our catalogue lists NR / SBR rubber sheet as general-purpose natural and synthetic rubber sheet for mats, pads, lining and protection. That is the full description we work from.
The catalogue gives no hardness, thickness or temperature figure for this sheet, so we do not quote one here. Tell us what you need, and we will confirm what we can offer.
Mats, pads, lining and protection
These four words cover many jobs, so say which one is yours. Tell us which one, and what goes with it.
- Mat: where it lies, how big the area is, and whether people or trolleys cross it.
- Pad: what sits on it, how heavy that is, and how large the contact area is.
- Lining: what surface you are covering, and what touches the lining.
- Protection: what you are protecting, and from what knocks or wear.
Edges and joins matter as well. Tell us if the sheet must lie flat, be fixed down or be cut around fittings.
Also tell us what is under the sheet, such as concrete, a steel deck or a painted wall. We will note it on the quote so nothing is missed.
For wider floor and lining jobs, see our guide to rubber sheets for industrial flooring and lining.
Think about how long the job runs, and how often the piece will be lifted, moved or cleaned. A mat for a daily walkway and a pad for a short project are different requests. Say which one you have.
NR / SBR or another rubber sheet
NR / SBR is one of several rubber sheets on our industrial materials page. Our catalogue describes the others in these words:
- Rubber Sheets: durable industrial rubber sheets for flooring, lining, sealing and protection.
- EPDM: weather-resistant sheet for outdoor sealing, waterproofing and insulation work.
- Nitrile: oil-resistant NBR sheet for workshops, gaskets, pads and fuel-related environments.
- Neoprene: balanced rubber sheet with good weather, oil and abrasion resistance for industrial use.
- Viton: high-performance sheet for chemical, heat and oil-resistant industrial applications.
If oil, fuel, chemicals, heat or open sunlight are part of your job, tell us, and we will confirm which sheet to quote. If your drawing or an old label names a sheet type, copy the name exactly as written. If it names none, a photo of the old piece is enough to start. We will compare it with the catalogue words above. Say how long the sheet will be exposed and how often it is cleaned, and with what.
Measure the job
For how to write the length, width, thickness and quantity of a sheet, follow our rubber sheet quotation checklist. Add any holes, cut-outs or curved edges, and a drawing or a photo with a ruler beside the part.
Replacing an old mat or pad
Send us the old piece, or a clear photo of it, if you have one. It shows the size and how the part was used.
Tell us why it is being replaced: worn through, torn, hardened or the wrong size. If you do not know the old material, say so. We will ask for what we need.
If you are replacing many identical pieces, send one piece and say how many you need.
Keep a note of where each piece goes, especially if sizes differ. A simple sketch with the measurements saves time on both sides. Number the pieces on the sketch and on your order list.
What to send us for a quote
- What it is for: mat, pad, lining or protection.
- Where it goes, and what sits on it or touches it.
- Size of each piece, thickness wanted, and quantity.
- Oil, fuel, chemicals, heat, water or sunlight present, if any.
- A photo or drawing, and the old piece if you have it.
Request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the right rubber sheet for the job.
