This guide is for plant managers, maintenance teams and buyers in Sharjah and the wider UAE. You may have a roller or metal part to coat in polyurethane (PU) or rubber. This guide says what we list and where we are, and points to our technical guides.
Where we are
Al Rawaa General Trading LLC is in Industrial Area 18, Sharjah, UAE. You can call us on +971 56 239 2759, send an enquiry through our website or message us on WhatsApp. Our guide to nylon and PTFE rod and sheet in Sharjah has the same address details.
If your plant is in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or another emirate, you can send the same enquiry. This guide gives no figures, because they depend on the job.
What we list
Our catalogue has two entries under coating services, and you can see them with the rest of our range on the industrial materials page:
- PU coating: polyurethane coating support for wear protection, grip, impact resistance and surface durability.
- Rubber coating: protective rubber coating for rollers, metal parts, lining, insulation and anti-slip applications.
The catalogue words are "coating services" and "coating support". It gives no process details, so we do not state any here. Our catalogue gives no figures for coating thickness, hardness or finish either. Tell us the job and we will confirm what we can offer.
Reasons for a coating enquiry
Here are some reasons for a coating enquiry. In each case the details of the job decide the next step, so we ask before we quote.
- A roller whose surface has worn, cracked or peeled.
- A metal part that needs a protective layer.
- A surface that needs grip, or an anti-slip finish.
- A part that takes knocks and needs impact protection.
- A lining on a metal part.
If your job is not on this list, send it anyway. A short description and a photo are enough to begin.
Where to read the technical detail
We keep this guide short on purpose. The choice between the two coatings, and the detail of each job, are covered elsewhere:
- PU and rubber coating for rollers and parts sets out the two catalogue descriptions and what to tell us about a roller.
- Rubber coating for metal parts and lining covers jobs that are not rollers.
- Anti-slip rubber sheet for steps is for walking surfaces, where our catalogue lists sheet as well as coating.
How to start
Start with the part, not with the coating name. Tell us what the part is, what it does, and what is wrong with it now. Then we can confirm which of the two entries to quote, or ask you for more.
Note how the part is held and driven, such as a shaft end or a keyway. Mark those areas on a photo and tell us. Say what the part has seen so far. A coating that peeled, cracked or wore flat tells us something about the job. So does a part that has never been coated before.
A drawing or a photo with a ruler beside the part helps most. If you have several parts, mark each one so it matches the list you send. Send what you know and we will ask for the rest.
If you need product documents for the coating, ask for them in your enquiry.
What to send us for a quote
- Which coating you are asking about, or "help me choose".
- The part and what it does in your machine or line.
- A drawing or photos with a ruler beside the part.
- The main sizes and the area to coat.
- What touches the part: product, oil, water, chemicals or heat.
- How the old coating failed, if there was one.
- How many parts you have.
- Your business name and contact details.
Send the enquiry through our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm what we can offer for your part.
