This page is for buyers who see a Kinkelder colour name on a quote or a blade and want to know what it is for. Each line gets one sentence here, then a link to its page. The colour tells you the job our catalogue lists the line for, not the blade size or version.
The five lines on one screen
- KINS' RED: TCT blades for solid steel bars, on stationary saws.
- KINS' BLUE: TCT blades for tubes, pipes or profiles, on stationary and semi-automatic machines.
- KINS' ORANGE: TCT blades for flying cut-off on tube mills.
- KINS' GREEN: HSS blades.
- KINS' YELLOW: segmental blades.
Our guide to saw blade terms explains TCT, HSS and the other words you may meet.
RED: solid steel bar
Our catalogue lists KINS' RED for cutting solid steel bars and other dense metal materials. It has LF, MT, LT Performance, MT Performance and HT versions, and two stainless versions, Stainless Small and Stainless Large. See saw blades for cutting solid steel bars.
BLUE and ORANGE: tube, pipe and profile
The two tube lines differ by how the machine cuts.
KINS' BLUE is listed for stationary and semi-automatic machines. Our catalogue says the line is engineered for various materials, with different steel grades and tensile strengths. It has four versions. Read saw blades for semi-automatic tube machines.
KINS' ORANGE is listed for flying cut-off, where the line keeps running while the saw cuts. The catalogue names hollow sections, square tubes and rectangular tubes as the pipes or profiles cut this way. It has six versions. Read about the flying cut-off blades.
GREEN and YELLOW: material and design
KINS' GREEN is our HSS line. The catalogue says it is typically used for low-tensile and sub-range medium-tensile work. Its versions include stainless, stabilizer, universal and vapor. See the KINS' GREEN page.
KINS' YELLOW is the segmental line, with one blade. It has a chrome vanadium steel body. Its HSS segments are riveted to the edge and can be replaced one by one. See the KINS' YELLOW page.
How to use the colours, and what they leave out
Start from your machine and what you cut. If you are not sure which line your machine falls under, tell us the machine make and model. Then read the line page for the rows on that line. Our catalogue lists:
- Flying cut-off on a tube mill: KINS' ORANGE.
- Stationary or semi-automatic tube cutting: KINS' BLUE.
- Solid steel bar: KINS' RED.
- HSS blades: KINS' GREEN. Segmental blades: KINS' YELLOW.
Some jobs sit across lines, for example stainless tube or a saw that cuts both bar and tube. The RED, BLUE, ORANGE and GREEN lines each list stainless versions with their own ratings, so tell us the grade. The colours do not rank the blades. Each line is listed for its own job. To compare scores inside a line, see how to read Kinkelder blade ratings. For how to order, see Kinkelder saw blades in the UAE.
A full blade name has two parts: the line and the version. Our catalogue does not explain the version names, so compare the rows on the line page.
Two blades of the same colour can differ in size and version, so the colour alone is not enough to order from. The colour does not give the blade size, the bore, the thickness or the fixing holes. It does not give your steel grade either. The catalogue says that size and specification depend on the machine, the cutting task and the material.
When you order, send the old blade or its photos with the colour. If the old blade has no colour on it, send the code instead. We will match it to a line.
What to send us for a quote
- The colour name or blade name on your quote, if you have one.
- The machine make and model, and the blade size it takes.
- What you cut: tube, pipe, profile or solid bar, with its size and wall thickness.
- The steel grade, and whether it is stainless.
- The old blade code, or its diameter, bore, thickness and fixing holes, with a photo.
- The quantity you need.
Request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the right line for your machine.
