Kinkelder KINS’ BLUE

This guide is for owners and supervisors of metal fabrication workshops that cut bar, tube and stainless steel on stationary saws. It builds a shortlist by job, from the lines in our Kinkelder catalogue. We then confirm the blades against your machines.

List your jobs, not your colours

Write down the cuts your workshop makes. Group them like this:

  • Solid bar.
  • Tube, pipe and profile.
  • Stainless steel, in bar or tube.
  • Any softer or non-ferrous material.

Next to each group, write the size range, the steel grade and the machine that does the job. Our catalogue has lines for each group. Which line fits your saw depends on your machine and material, so tell us both. See our saw blade range for all the lines.

If one saw cuts several of these jobs, read which Kinkelder blade for which metal. If you only run a tube mill, read planning spare saw blades for a tube line instead.

Solid bar

Our catalogue lists KINS' RED for solid steel bars and other dense metal materials, on stationary saws. It comes in LF, MT, LT Performance, MT Performance and HT versions. Compare the tensile rows to your steel. Tell us the grade of the bar and the diameters you cut. The tensile rows are the first thing we check, so the grade is the first fact we need.

Tube, pipe and profile

KINS' BLUE is listed for tubes, pipes or profiles on stationary and semi-automatic machines. Compare its Thin tube and Multi/thick tube rows to the wall you cut. Tell us the tube size and wall thickness for each job, and whether the saw is stationary or semi-automatic. Thin and thick wall work have separate rows, so we need both facts. See saw blades for semi-automatic tube machines.

Stainless steel and other lines

Stainless has its own versions in the catalogue. KINS' RED lists Stainless Small and Stainless Large. KINS' BLUE lists a Stainless version, and KINS' GREEN lists Stainless Performance and Stainless Stabilizer. Some other versions, such as KINS' GREEN Universal, also show a Stainless Steel row.

These versions are rated separately from the tensile rows. Tell us the grade. See saw blades for stainless steel bars and saw blades for stainless steel tubes.

KINS' GREEN is our HSS line. The catalogue says it is typically used for low-tensile and sub-range medium-tensile work. KINS' YELLOW is the segmental line, and carries the only Non-Ferro row. If your jobs include these, say so. See HSS and TCT saw blades for buyers.

Read the rows, then ask us

Pick the rows that match your jobs, and ignore the rest. Three examples from the line pages show how this works.

  • KINS' BLUE Multi Performance scores 9 on Multi/thick tube and 4 on Thin tube. If you cut thick tube, that row matters to you.
  • KINS' RED LF scores 9 on Low Tensile and 8 on Medium Tensile.
  • KINS' RED MT scores 4 on Low Tensile and 8 on Medium Tensile. Your steel decides which row you read.

A score compares blades on the same page. It does not predict a result on your saw. See how to read Kinkelder blade ratings.

Tell us your jobs, and we will confirm the line and version for each. The size and specification of a blade depend on the machine, the cutting task and the material. A workshop with several saws can have a different blade on each, so label your photos by machine. Our saw blade enquiry checklist lists what to gather.

What to send us for a quote

  • Each machine, with make and model, and the blade size it takes.
  • Each job: bar, tube or profile, with its size and wall thickness.
  • The steel grade for each, and which jobs are stainless.
  • Any non-ferrous material you cut.
  • The old blade code, or its diameter, bore, thickness and fixing holes, with photos.
  • What goes wrong now on each job, if anything.
  • The quantity you need.

Request a quote on our website or message us on WhatsApp, and we will confirm the blades for your workshop.
